Central to the Apliquick product line are the Apliquick "rods". While teaching and exhibiting in Girona, Spain several years ago, Denise became friends with the inventors and was able to follow rod design and refinement from early on (starting with the first wooden three-rod prototypes – see the above photo – one set of which she still has; she also has a set of early two-rod metal prototypes). She has since enthusiastically adopted the use of Apliquick's full line of products in the development of her own quilts.
